How the Program Works
This a computerized system which is managed by the Auburn Police Department and is offered by the The Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center FREE OF CHARGE to Auburn subscribers.

The system calls subscribers everyday at the same time.  If the subscriber picks up the phone he or she will hear a voice saying, "Inquiring if they are OK.   If the subscriber fails to answer the phone after several tries or if there is a busy signal several times in a row, the computer immediately notifies the police dispatcher who will then send emergency services to check on the person. 

During holidays, vacations or any other time the subscriber plans to be away a simple phone call to the Auburn Police station will stop the calls for as long as needed.
